Hub Dam

Hub Dam (Urdu: حب ڈیم ‎) is a reservoir on the Hub River. It is situated 56 km from Karachi city in Karachi and Lasbela Districts on Sindh and Balochistan provinces border. The dam is extended to 24300 acres with gross storage capacity of 857000 acre feet. It is the Pakistan’s third largest dam. It is an important source that provides the drinking water to the metropolitan city Karachi.[1]
In 1974, the government of Sindh declared the area around dam as a wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is about 27219 hectors in size. It is favorable area for feeding and nesting for Cranes, Pelicans, Ducks and Waders. It also an important habitat of migratory birds. The Dam was designated a Ramsar site on 1st May 2001.[1]
Hub Dam is also a tourist resort. On weekend holidays a large number of peoples from Karachi visit there to enjoy picnic, swimming and fishing. [1] A rest house of WAPDA is also located there for tourists stay.

Government College for Men, Nazimabad

Government College for Men, Nazimabad is an all-male degree college located in Karachi, Pakistan adjacent to the flyover located in Nazimabad town.

History

The college was established in 1956 under the name of Central Government College for Men to provide higher education to the newly settled and prominent area of Nazimabad in Karachi. The college was taken over by the Government of Sindh in 1961, and since then named as Government College for Men, Nazimabad.[1]

Library

The college library is situated in front of the main entrance of the college building. Today, the college library has a collection of over 18,500 reference books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, manuals, atlases, etc.[2]

Karachi Golf Club one of the largest Golf clubs in Karachi. 
The Karachi Golf Club, is a golf course situated in Karsaz, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The 27-hole golf course is the oldest golf club in Pakistan.
The course was turfed, landscaped, and filled with greenery, making it one of the largest green areas in Karachi. The Karachi Golf Club was an affiliate of the Sindh Club in 1888 and registered as an independent club in 1891.
 
The course was relocated to the present site in 1953. In 1991, renowned architect Peter Heradine designed the 18 hole Championship Course. The 18 hole Green Course was created a year later and in 1993 nine more holes were built. The three courses are now referred as the Blue, Yellow and Red Courses.
Golf in Karachi has gained in popularity and the Karachi Golf Club is a favourite pick.
The golf club is where the Pakistan Open is hosted.*
